Our workshop, “Collaborative Palletizing Solution: Solving Labor Shortages – Hands-on Experience and Q&A Session,” co-hosted by ROBOTIQ,was a resounding success yesterday, May 13th, 2025, at our Fukuoka Head Office JACK lab.
We were delighted to welcome 21 attendees from 12 companies, demonstrating the high level of interest in collaborative robot-based palletizing solutions as a way to address the growing issue of labor shortages in manufacturing.
The workshop featured a live demonstration of a palletizing system combining ROBOTIQ’s latest collaborative robot arm with the cutting-edge equipment installed in our JACK lab. Participants were able to witness firsthand the smooth and safe operation of the collaborative robot as it accurately and efficiently stacked cardboard boxes onto pallets, leaving many impressed by its seamless movements and safety features.
During the hands-on experience session, attendees had the opportunity to operate the teach pendant themselves and try out simple palletizing tasks. We received numerous positive comments such as, “It’s easier to operate than I imagined,” and “Introducing this to our site now feels realistic,” indicating that participants gained a concrete understanding of the feasibility of implementing collaborative robots.
The Q&A session provided a valuable opportunity for participants to directly ask questions to experts from ROBOTIQ and our company representatives. A wide range of topics were discussed, including inquiries about the implementation process, integration with existing equipment, and safety concerns, leading to a lively exchange of ideas.
We received a great deal of positive feedback from attendees, including comments like, “I could feel the potential of collaborative robots,” “I found concrete clues to solving our labor shortage,” and “The hands-on experience alleviated my concerns about implementation.”
Through this workshop, we firmly believe that we were able to convey the potential of collaborative robots to contribute to resolving labor shortages and improving productivity in manufacturing to all who attended.
